About RBMCN

Redefining What Is Possible in High-Acuity Behavioral Health

Residential Behavior Management Center of Nebraska (RBMCN) was founded to address one of the most critical gaps in the behavioral health continuum ,  serving individuals whose complexity exceeds the capacity of traditional residential and community-based programs.

We specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), autism, co-occurring psychiatric conditions, and intensive, trauma-informed support for individuals with complex behavioral and developmental needs.

RBMCN is not simply a residential setting.

It is a purpose-built behavioral health center designed for stabilization, transformation, and sustainable reintegration.

A New Standard of Integrated Care

RBMCN uniquely blends:

  • The clinical rigor and psychiatric oversight of a Residential Treatment model
  • The habilitative, skill-building framework of an ICF/IID
  • A structured, data-driven behavioral intervention system

This integrated approach allows us to serve individuals who are often excluded from:

  • Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTFs)
  • ICF/IID programs
  • CDD and waiver-based services
  • Foster care and traditional group homes
  • Standard community behavioral supports

Where other programs encounter limitations, RBMCN is structured to respond with precision, expertise, and accountability.

Built for Complexity

Many individuals referred to RBMCN have experienced:

  • Repeated placement disruptions
  • Chronic psychiatric hospitalizations
  • Escalating aggression or self-injury
  • Sexualized or high-risk behaviors
  • Involvement with courts, probation, or state agencies
  • Out-of-state placements due to severity of need

We are intentionally designed for this level of acuity.

Our secure, trauma-informed, and therapeutically structured environment provides the stability necessary for meaningful behavioral change to occur.

From Stabilization to Reintegration

At RBMCN, treatment is never passive.

Every individual receives:

  • Comprehensive behavioral and clinical assessment
  • Individualized intervention planning
  • Continuous data monitoring and outcome measurement
  • Crisis stabilization and proactive safety planning
  • Adaptive skill development and habilitative training
  • Structured transition and discharge planning

Our objective is clear:
Reduce risk. Build skills. Restore stability. Prepare for successful reintegration.

A Commitment to Excellence

We believe high-risk behavior is not a barrier to treatment , it is a call for greater clinical excellence.

RBMCN operates with a philosophy grounded in:

  • Dignity without compromise
  • Safety through structure
  • Measurable, outcome-driven treatment
  • Accountability to families and systems
  • Long-term, sustainable success

Our work is defined by clinical depth, operational discipline, and an unwavering commitment to individuals who deserve more than containment , they deserve transformation.

Leading the Region Forward

For too long, families and agencies have faced limited options for individuals with severe behavioral needs ,  often resulting in repeated crises or out-of-state placements.

RBMCN is expanding regional capacity and setting a new standard for high-acuity autism and behavioral health treatment in Nebraska.

We are not a last resort. We are a specialized solution.
